The Supreme Court has issued notice to the National Accountability Bureau on the request of the Pakistan People’s Party leader and former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon’s bail application. During the hearing, Justice Lateef Khosa, lawyer of Sharjeel Memon, told the court that the accused in Sindh should not be given bail but instead they are arrested. He said that Inam Akbar has challenged the authority to issue the warrant arrest of Chairman NAB on which the court gave remarks that the notice was issued in a case, but also issued cases for the rest of the people. Justice Azam also issued notice to NAB on the requests of other accused including Inam Akbar. The court subsequently ordered NAB to submit a reply, adjourning the hearing until the first week of January.
