Abdul Basit to take early retirement

Senior Commissioner in India, Abdul Basit took retirement before the government, after which the government appointed Sohail Mahmood to High Commissioner in Delhi instead of Abdul Basit. According to World News, Abdul Basit was in office with Secretary General Junior officer, while the Pakistani High Commissioner expressed reservations on the deployment of Tahmina-Janjua, Abdul Basit had begun to continue work in India, but rejected the appointment of Sohail Mahmood at his place. On which Abdul Basit decided to take a strong standpoint retirement, the Prime Minister approved the retirement of Abdul Basit.
