Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique also reached the court and filed a contempt case against him in the Supreme Court. This application was filed by leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Awais Younis. The petition contended that Khawaja Saad Rafique criticized the judiciary in his press conference on 31 july. The petitioner prayed the court to take action against the federal government for contempt of court. It is also worth mentioning that if the Khawaja Saad Rafique is punished in the contempt of court case, then on the same basis, he can also be considered as a disqualified.
