Islamabad: Nepra approved a reduction of Rs. 82 paise per unit at the cost of electricity. There was a hearing in Nepra on the basis of the Fuel adjustment of the Central Power Retailing Agency in the month of August, in which the CPA had requested a reduction of Rs 80 per unit at the cost of electricity per unit. CPA told that total 12 billion 75 million units of electricity were generated in August and the total cost of electricity was more than 57 billion. The NEPRA has approved a reduction of Rs 82 per unit at the cost of electricity after hearing, which will be able to get a relief of Rs.25 billion to the public, which will be adjusted to the next bills.
