The National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges unanimously passed a resolution to give the name of new Islamabad airport as ‘Quaid-e-Azam International Airport. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Muhammad Juniad Anwar Chaudhry, during the meeting, the new Islamabad airport was named ‘Quaid-e-Azam International Airport’. The proposal to name the airport was given by the PML-N member National Assembly Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk. He said that Quaid collected the nation and he is the father of the nation, so I think that the name of this airport should be Quaid-e-Azam International Airport in his memory. All the members of the committee unanimously approached the resolution presented by Chaudhry Bashir Virk.
