The decision to approve the nominations of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz NA-120 Lahore the election tribunal was challenged. Ishtiaq Chaudhary of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek-e-Insaf (PAT) challenged the decision to accept Begum Kalsoom Nawaz’s papers by the Returning Officer in the Election Tribunal. The application filed in Election Tribunal has said that the approval of the papers of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz is realistic. The application has said that we had filed objections in the election commission but our objections were rejected and the papers of the Kalsoom Nawaz has been approved. The application has been made in the petition that the papers of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz should be rejected. In his plea, Ishtiaq Chaudhry says, “Kalsoom Nawaz did not disclose details of her iqama and the Returning Officer accepted her nomination papers against the facts.” In the petition filed by Chaudhry Ishtiaq, the stand has been adopted that Closer Kalsoom Nawaz expressed self-determination against Nawaz Sharif while he was the chairman of different companies.
