Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi removed Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar from the chairman of the Economic Contact Committee (ECC). After the formation of new ministries, in a major development, Prime Minister removed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar from the chairman of the Economic Relations Committee, after which ECC Chairman will be the prime minister himself. The cabinet division issued notification after Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi approved the formation of Economic Contact Committee. According to the notification, the Finance Minister has been removed from the post of Chairman ECC and now Prime Minister himself will be chairman, but for any reason, the Finance Minister will preserve the meeting in the presence of Prime Minister.
