The PCB is working to ensure Australia hosts after 24 years

The Pakistan Cricket Board has started trying to persuade the Australian Cricket Board to visit Pakistan after 24 years. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan said that talks are underway with the Australian Cricket Board on a number of issues and we hope that the Kangaroos will step on Pakistani soil after 24 years to play a bilateral series in 2022. The tour of Australia in 2022 is part of the Pakistan International Cricket Council’s Future Tour program.

Wasim Khan further said that the security situation in Pakistan has improved a lot so the Australian Cricket Board should have no excuse not to send its team to Pakistan for international competitions.

Replying to a question, Wasim Khan said that so far no agreement has been reached with the Australian Cricket Board regarding a possible series but in the initial talks, the attitude of Cricket Australia officials was very positive.

Wasim Khan said that the PCB and Cricket Australia’s International Cricket Department are working to ensure mutual matches in February, March 2022. By 2022, many foreign teams will have visited Pakistan, so Cricket Australia should also decide. I will be easy. It should be noted that the Australian team has to visit Pakistan in 2022 to play a series of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches. The last time the Australian team under the leadership of Mark Taylor visited Pakistan was in 1998.
